Well here it is in my hands! The Google Chrome Notebook Cr48 has just been set-free from the dreaded cardboard box and is now ready to impress us all. I am just sitting here thinking “Where do I begin?” Should I start explaining the OS or should I begin with sharing how smooth and clean it is? Hell, I will just tell you all I have thought about the Chrome Notebook and it’s glorious.
Before I get you reading any further, I would like to tell everyone something about me that may perhaps make this article seem biased: I LOVE GOOGLE.
Now that is out in the clear, let us begin.
When I received the package I immediately walked over to my friend Jonny’s place to have him also enjoy the box opening. We chose Chipotle as our place to open the package from Google. We sat down and open the cardboard box. There it was, The Google Chrome Notebook Cr48.
It was had no logos or designs and just a black rubbery, but smooth surface to it. The “cuteness” of this gadget began to attract some attention by few the people around, curious to know what kind of laptop was that. So already the notebook’s current design is drawing a crowd. Kudos to Google. You know that feeling you get when you turn on that new gadget for the first time. Well, when I first logged into the Chrome OS, I was completely overjoyed. If you are like me and utilize about every Google application they have to offer then without a doubt, the Chrome Notebook is what you need. The Notebook almost seems to be made just for Google account owners only; which is why I am in love with it.
Another neat little feature I was surprised to find, especially on non-Macs… the multi-touch touch pad that resembles Apple’s touchpads. This came to surprise to me because many PCs have terrible touch-pads or at least all the ones I have come across.
