Google Nexus S price in india

Just a while ago Google unveiled the much awaited Android 2.3 Smartphone Google Nexus S. It is going to hit the US market on Dec 16th via BestBuy and T-Mobile and UK via Vodafone, T-Mobile and Carphone Warehouse. We were desperately waiting to know the price which Google oddly didn’t announce in its blogpost. But we have it now as BestBuy has just annouced the the retail price of Google Nexus S in a press release.
According to the press release, Google Nexus S will hit the shelves with $529 price tag for an unlocked version and $199 price tag with a 2 year T-Mobile voice and dataplan contract.
We expected it to be of the $500-ish price range and so it is! It is definitely an appropriate price tag for a middle range Android phone having a 5MP camera, 512MB RAM, 1GHz processor and the likes. But there’s something very odd, Carphone warehouse is listing Google Nexus S for £549 for UK. Which is a whoopingly high, jawdropping price tag. I am not sure if it is by mistake or the phone is really going to sell in UK for such a price. We need to wait for BestBuy and carriers to announce the price for UK to know the reality.
