Motorola XOOM's Release Date Officially Confirmed!

Motorola CEO Sanja Jha just spoke at Motorola’s annual earnings call. We didn’t expect any product announcement but you know when a CEO is there on the stage, we don’t usually let him go without asking some questions. Something similar happened to Sanjay Jha after he finished his address. As a result we now have an official word on XOOM’s release date.

Just a few hours ago, we got a confirmation of Motorola’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb based tablet ‘XOOM’ and now we have the confirmation straight from Motorola’s CEO. Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha told the audience that Motorola XOOM will be coming out in the end of February. As you are reading this, we already know XOOM’s release date to be 17th of February. Guess the end of the month starts right after the mid? May be Sanjay thinks so. That’s what he had to reveal during his address. Later on, in the Q&A session he told the audience that XOOM’s release might extend to March.

I guess they are just messing up stuff in a try to keep the real release date secret or confuse people over the leaked release date. As for me, I pretty much believe that the leaked release date is the real release date. Who’s with me?

Oh wait! We have an LTE version of XOOM too. It’s not going to lift its veil in February or even in the early 2011. LTE XOOM would rather hit the shelves by the end of the second quarter of 2011. June?

Hey Sanjay! Can I get a little ‘minus’ out of the $700 price?
