The Indira Gandhi International airport at Delhi terminal-3 Checking-in system has collapsed today resulting in many flights getting delayed for up to 2 to 4 hours.
Due to the Checking-in system fault the check in was to be done manually. Between 4.30 to 5.30 the systems were not working as there was a IT / Network failure.
It may be recalled that just a day ago Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has announced in a press release that DIAL has partnered with IBM to Create a Smarter Air Terminal. Was this a precurser to more failure before the IBM Smarter Air Terminal for Delhi International Airport / DIAL is launched?
