HTC had been giving us a hard timer regarding the root privileges on its latest devices like G2. It seems like Samsung has set a nice tradition of ‘openness’ with Nexus S as it comes OEM unlockable just out of the box.
It has been just hours that EVO Shift 4G is out on the shelves and we have already started getting tips on its temproot. The word is that you can have temporary root access using the z4root tool without any work around, hacking, shell commands or any other complexities. It may mean that HTC EVO Shift 4G is also OEM unlockable like the Nexus S but we’ll have to wait until we have permaroot.
