“For most Ambani watchers, it is an obvious conclusion that this has to do with sibling rivalry. But Anil is entitled to have his own Taj Mahal, ” says author and columnist Shobhaa De who was one of the 80 selected guests to attend Mukesh’s recent housewarming bash on Thanksgiving Day.
Some observers cite another reason altogether as to why Anil ambani is keen to build his own home: rumor has it that Sea Wind belongs to a private company controlled by Mukesh. “ Why should Anil be his brother’s tenant? He could be asked to move out anytime. Their truce is only on paper; the distrust between them runs too deep, ” remarks a family friend who did not wish to be named.
Mukesh’s Antillia has already become a Mumbai landmark attracting hordes of gawkers even as critics carp about the vulgar display of wealth. Anil’s sky palace would add another ostentatious symbol of riches to Mumbai’s crowded skyline. Says author De, “ It’s their money, their taste, so good luck to them. ”

Anil says, let me get the permission from BMC and Pali Hill Resident’s Association (PHRA) – and I’ll build a better house than yours. Yeah, Anil Ambani has submitted proposal to build a 150 meter tall house in Bandra’s Pali Hill area.
If the project gets permission, Anil’s residence will make everything look dwarf in surrounding area.
