WikiLeaks supporters have been trying to bring down several popular services including Amazon, PayPal and MasterCard for a while now. They didn’t have had any success in the last attempt and they said the attacks were only symbolic. We knew they won’t sit idle and come up with another round of attacks soon and so they did. Or at least it appears so.

We’ve just noticed that Amazon.de is down right now. Trying to access the site gives ‘The page unavailable’ message. To prove our point, we’ve made a ‘tracert’ request to the site and here are the results:

It definitely is causing the problem to the customers and Amazon as well. I’m not sure how many of you were stuck in the middle of something. If you did, let us know in the comments section below so that we can update the post.

What do you guys think is going to be the next target of hackers? Amazon.com? Paypal.com? Or someone else?
