Motorola Atrix 4G
AT&T has unveiled Motorola’s latest Android beast at its CES presentation – Motorola Atrix 4G. This new Motorola gadget is a performance power house with NVIDIA tegra 2 dual core CPU with 1GHz speed of each core. That’s not it, this thing has got some unique new features which we haven’t seen in any smartphone to date. On specs side, Motorola Atrix 4G packs 1GHz RAM along with a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core CPU. Motorola is marketing it as a laptop replacement with it’s full desktop firefox 3.6 browser, Webtop app and laptop dock. It is the first ever smartphone to have a qHD display which measures 4.o inches in diagonal. On-board memory is 16GB that can be expanded to 48GB with a 32GB microSD.
There’s no official word but I hope there would be plenty of memory dedicated to apps. Unfortunately, Google seems to be bent on extending Nexus S’ Gingerbread exclusivity period as long as possible. Yes, this thing is coming out with Froyo on board, no gingerbread! But well, it’s upgradable on the mercy of AT&T. Motorola Atrix 4G has a 5MP rear and a VGA front-facing cam for video chats. It definitely records 720p HD videos and works with AT&T’s HSPA+ bands but may be launched internationally as well.
One of the exclusive features is the web browser which is the desktop version of Firefox 3.6. Yes, it is not Fennec or any mobile optimized one. The laptop dock converts Motorola Atrix 4G to a complete laptop and the HD dock lets you connect it with your HD TV. We are all up to cover CES the best possible way.
