Wait over guys! No more looking for leaks, no need to stalk Eric even! Google Nexus S is now official!
Google has just announced it’s next arrival in the Nexus Series, the Nexus S. There were rumors of a dual core CPU with 5MP camera but it was totally dumb. So my prediction has come true. Google Nexus S has a 5 MP camera but not a dual core CPU. It has just ARM Vertex A8 1GHz processor supported by a 512MB of RAM. Fed up with the on-board storage of my Desire, 16GB on-board storage of Nexus S is really a breeze. One of the interesting things of the phone is its curved 4.0? WVGA display called Contour. It is a super AMOLED screen with 480×800 resolution.
Well, the part, I’m most excited about is the OS version it is coming out with. Yeah, you got it right! It would be rolled out with Andriod 2.3 Gingerbread on board.
Google Nexus S will be released in the US via T-Mobile on Dec 16th and Dec 20th in the UK. We are still hunting for the price but hope it’d be something around $500. T-Mobile and Bestbuy will be selling the phone at their retail outlets or online in the US. In UK you’d have to visit Carphone warehouse or BestBuy for one!
