Curtis Stone has been named as the new host of top-rating US cook-off show “Top Chef Masters,”.
Fresh from signing a rumored AU$20 million (US$19.7m), four-year deal with Australian supermarket chain Coles and a hugely popular appearance on the US version of The Celebrity Apprentice 3, Stone has landed a deal to helm the third season of Masters which airs on Bravo, replacing previous host Kelly Choi.
It is understood the 36-year-old, currently dating TV starlet Lindsay Price, will pocket just under $1 million per season for his appearance on the cable cooking show — adding to his already considerable portfolio of cookbooks, retail chain endorsements, cooking utensils, in-flight meal contracts and public appearance fees.
Stone also developed his Kitchen Solutions line of utensils, accessories and glassware in 2008 and later signed a lucrative deal with United Airlines.
A favorite Aussie guest of Oprah Winfrey, Stone is no stranger to US TV screens having hosted two seasons of Take Home Chef on cable TV from 2006 to 2008.
