Karunakaran Passed Away today on Dec 23, 2010 : Veteran Congress leader K Karunakaran died after a prolonged illness. The condition of Karunakaran is turned critical on yesterday as doctors recomand to put on ventilator support in the hospital. Karunakaran, 92 years old was a four time CM of Kerala.

Veteran Congress leader K Karunakaran was servived with wife Kalyanikutty Amma (Late) and children K. Muraleedharan and Padmaja Venugopal.  K. Karunakaran was a senior politician from Kerala, India belonging to Congress party. Karunakaran was a former Chief Minister of Kerala, Home minister of Government of Kerala, and Minister for Industries of Government of India. Karunakaran was affectionately called “Leader” by Congress activists. He was often criticized for apparent nepotism.
