Nexus S Rubberized Battery Cover Nexus S Rubberized Battery Cover

We like the matt finish of HTC phones. They are least prone to fingerprints and don’t feel cheap. On the other hand Samsung’ stuff is shinny, slippery and fingerprint friendly. It feels cheap too. So why bother a cheap feeling on your Nexus S when you pay a nifty sum of $530 for a phone packing the most advanced operating system inside? One cool guy over at XDA went a little ahead of just hating the shinny finish of Nexus S and decided to take things into his own hands. By applying some PlastDip on the battery cover he was able to make his Nexus S even awesome. The result was a rubbery back that’s no more a fingerprint magnet and it doesn’t feel much cheap now. Planning to do the same thing to your phone too? Go ahead, take some duct tape to cover the camera and flash glass and apply the PlastDip inside out on the battery cover of your Nexus S. Don’t leave any edge naked so that you don’t end up pealing it unintentionally. Apply as many layers as you want to make it more and more soft. Four layers seem fine though. But don’t forget to take at least  half-hour breaks between quotes.

I hope you already know that you can have root access on your Nexus S without much hassle. Before you hit the source link below for detailed instructions, don’t forget to check out our Gingerbread oven while a lot of gingerbread cookies are being baked. [XDA]
